Local Sales Executive/Manager at Generator in Stockholm

BEING YOURSELF is the key to bringing the Generator story and brand to life. Our Local Sales person will be an exceptional and passionate sales professional who is organised and has a hunger to drive the local sales activities to identify, pursue and win new direct group and private hire events business whilst raising the profile of the brand and the hostels within our growing group. You will be responsible for developing and managing business opportunities from your local/national market through direct sales activity and brand awareness.

 

YOU MUST

• Be a pro-active, self motivating, highly organised individual

• Be capable of implementing new systems

• Be tech savvy to be able to support others with account management systems

• Be an excellent administrator and organizer

• Have the ability to build fantastic relationships

• Communicate extremely well

• Have appropriate experience

• Have impeccable honesty

• Be highly skilled at Word, PowerPoint and Excel to an intermediate to advanced level

 

YOU WILL:

• identify and engage with potential customers for new business focusing on direct group and private hire events

• facilitate full rate quotation and contracting for local accounts

• gather market and client information, providing feedback on buying trends

• represent the Hostel(s) at local trade exhibitions and local events

• activate appropriate sales strategies for the property during need periods, i.e. telesales, agent promotions, tactical projects

• priorities all sales leads generated from the property

• develop account action plans and long range planning schedules

• enthusiastically build long term client relationships

• collect data for the local market via local business associations and affiliations

• actively contribute to the commercial business opportunities for the property

• actively call on key local accounts

• ensure sales targets are achieved by segment according to the business mix plan

• report on call activity on a weekly, monthly and annual basis

• report on client production and account management through Salesforce.com

• report on competitor activity and market intelligence

• increase local awareness of the property and the Generator network

• research historical business to source new leads

• support the budgetary process and the annual business strategy

• conduct client Face to face meetings on a weekly basis

• Be proactive in your approach to everything

• Have at least two years hospitality experience with field sales experience a significant advantage

• Possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal, organisational ability

• Be able to communicate at all levels

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail

• Possess strong reporting skills

• Be able to work independently

• Show initiative and a passion for sales

• Show a knowledge of local market visitor profiles

• Have experience in reporting on call activity on a weekly, monthly and annual basis

• Have experience in reporting on client production and key account management

• Be able to report on competitor intelligence and provide key competitor analysis

 

YOU ARE:

•         Experienced in working within a vibrant and exciting sales environment within the travel and tourism market

•         An excellent communicator, organiser and administrator

•         Social, connected and well informed on the trends and markets within hospitality

•         Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products and familiar with Salesforce.com

•         Fluent in English and the local language with strong written communication skills

•         Able to be based from the hostel and travel within Europe from time to time as required
